SafeGuarding Policy - AinyFit Ltd Fitness PILATES and DanceFIT Classes
Purpose
AinyFit Ltd is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who attends our Fitness PILATES and DanceFIT classes.
This policy explains how we aim to safeguard the wellbeing, dignity and safety of all participants, instructors, volunteers and visitors.
Scope
This policy applies to:
* All AinyFit Ltd instructors, staff, volunteers and contractors
* Adults and children attending classes or events
* Parents, carers and guardians
* Any venue used by AinyFit Ltd
Safeguarding Principles
AinyFit Ltd will:
* Treat everyone with respect, fairness and dignity
* Provide a safe and supportive environment
* Take all concerns, allegations or disclosures seriously
* Act promptly if there are concerns about a person's welfare or safety
* Promote equality, inclusion and non-discrimination
* Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times
* Follow relevant safeguarding and data protection laws
Health and Safety
To support the safety of all participants, AinyFit Ltd will:
* Ensure venues are clean, safe and suitable for activity classes
* Carry out basic risk assessments where appropriate
* Keep walkways and exits clear
* Ensure equipment is safe and in good condition
* Encourage participants to exercise within their own ability and fitness level
* Ask participants to inform instructors of any injuries, medical conditions or concerns before taking part
* Have access to basic first aid arrangements during classes
Children and Young People
If children or young people attend AinyFit Ltd classes:
* Written consent may be required from a parent or guardian
* Parents or guardians remain responsible for children unless a class is specifically designated as supervised
* Instructors will avoid being alone with a child wherever possible
* Any safeguarding concerns involving a child will be reported to the appropriate authorities if necessary
* Photography or video recording of children will only take place with permission from a parent or guardian
Appropriate Conduct
Everyone attending AinyFit Ltd classes is expected to behave respectfully.
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
* Bullying, intimidation or harassment
* Discrimination of any kind
* Physical, verbal or emotional abuse
* Inappropriate language or behaviour
* Unwanted physical contact
* Unsafe or disruptive behaviour
* Any form of sexual misconduct
Anyone behaving inappropriately may be asked to leave the class or venue.
Instructor Responsibilities
All instructors and staff should:
* Lead by example and behave professionally
* Respect confidentiality where possible
* Avoid inappropriate personal relationships with participants
* Report concerns or incidents promptly
* Keep accurate records of any safeguarding concerns
* Complete relevant safeguarding or first aid training where appropriate
Reporting Concerns
If a participant, parent, instructor or visitor has a safeguarding concern, they should report it to AinyFit Ltd as soon as possible.
Concerns may include:
* A person being at risk of harm
* Inappropriate behaviour by another participant or instructor
* Unsafe conditions at a venue
* Concerns about a child, young person or vulnerable adult
All concerns will be taken seriously, recorded appropriately and, where necessary, referred to relevant agencies or authorities.
Confidentiality
Safeguarding concerns will be handled sensitively and confidentially.
Information will only be shared with those who need to know in order to protect the safety and wellbeing of an individual, or where there is a legal requirement to do so.
Review
This policy should be reviewed regularly and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, guidance or the activities of AinyFit Ltd.
